The Fourth Kind isn't based on true events, it's based on false events?
The director of the movie The Fourth Kind created many websites concerning the topic of alien abduction, so they could claim that the movie was based on true events, but all of these websites were made by the director. I know this becuase I used whoisdomain.com to check when the sites were created. All of them were created on August.
tl;dr movie is crap, don’t watch it.
Claiming that events depicted are true is device used by film-makers to add dramatic tension. Eg Fargo by the Coen brothers.
There is no evidence of alien life, only conspiracy theories and unsubstantiated witness accounts. So, obviously, it is a complete work of fiction.
